Over recent years together with sea carriage of containerized cargoes, rail transportation from China and India to Russia is the most demanded method of cargo delivery. In comparison with sea carriage from major ports of Asia which takes 30-40 days rail transportation of containerized cargoes from P.R. China is performed by special-purpose container trains which make regular trips towards Moscow. Direct railroad route from China reduces the time down to 14-16 days.

Therefore rail transportation of containerized cargoes is often the best solution based on cost/transit time ratio when time of delivery is limited but the cargo size and high cost prevents from using air delivery.
